Psyllium is the name given to the seeds of the Plantago ovata plant, which mainly grows in India, although it is distributed throughout the world. Psyllium is used in traditional Indian and Asian medicine as a natural remedy for various health problems. Psyllium is an excellent source of fiber. When baking, psyllium flour can be used as an egg substitute - it has the same thickening properties. This product does not contain gluten. The product is tested for gluten at each production phase. Garnec was the first in Russia to receive the right to label its products with the “Crossed Grain” trademark. This trademark is a safety mark for gluten-free products of the Association of European Coeliac Societies, recognized in most developed countries.
